Thursday morning I had swim lessons with the boys. Jacob earned a ribbon by accomplishing a task on his own.
Afterwards we went to Pratt's Pet Shop in El Mirage where we held snakes, road turtles, and pet baby Emu's. It was quite the adventure. Unfortunately my card for my camera was left in my computer so I did not get any pictures, but I had a friend there that did, if she ever gets them to me (you know who you are :) I will post them for you!
We pushed our limits by heading to Peter Piper afterwards for lunch. With Josh on the road that day, I was trying to keep the kids busy. It was too much for one day for us and James had a run in with another child. He acted very out of character and have had a few chats sense. In fact tonight he randomly apologized to me for his behavior and my heart melted.
Josh's grandparents have been working on reupholstering our chairs! They were so dirty after having kids for 5 years I got to the point I preferred to stand to eat than to sit on them. They have completed two of them and they are back in my kitchen more beautiful than the day I got them! Did I mention how clean and smooth the wood is now too?! I am so impressed- by the time I get them all back I will feel like I have a whole new set of chairs!
Friday, James had school and Jacob had his last planned play day at Busy Bodies. We had a blast together. It was a great opportunity for us to have one on one time together and have nothing but fun! We used a gift certificate that I won at a fundraiser and sadly its all used up now. The great news is, I have a gift certificate that I won at the same fundraiser to Gymboree- so that will be our next adventure!
Later that day, we finalized the documents for our new home. We will have about a month to transition from our current house to the new one. It is much smaller so we plan to have a big garage sale yo get rid of as much stuff as we can so we can have a clutter free new living space.
Saturday morning, James had Cal Ripken Jr. Day at the Surprise Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers.
He got a free ticket to the game and was taken down the tunnel to march onto and around the field. We found out Surprise has the largest Cal Ripken League in Arizona and one of the largest in the country. He felt so grown up marching on the field with his teammates and coach that when asked what he did today he says that he went down on the field without his mom! haha!
After he marched off the field we stayed a while to watch the Rangers and the Rockies.
James is in the Blue #6.
