Our 1st T-Ball Game!

We had a blast at our first T-ball Game! James started in the outfield by playing 2nd base!

Jacob was sad that he couldn't play...
James was last to bat on his team...

He hit three home runs! One each time he got to bat...

James had a blast!

Yesterday and Today

Yesterday we... Registered James for Kindergarten!!! He will be a cougar just like I was. Different school, same mascot!

Went to James' t-ball practice where he had his first scrimmage. He did great, but still has a lot to learn. Specifically, not to run after the ball in the right field when he is playing third base! It was pretty darn cute though.

Today Jacob said, "How come he (as in a strange man across the room) is not looking at me?" I said, "Because he doesn't know you." Jacob replied, "But I am Jacob." So cute!

Catch Up

It was a busy week for us here in the J Pelham house. Now that Josh and I are full-time students we have decided to consolidate our expenses. My dad has been kind enough to offer us one of his cars so that we won't have to worry about a car payment. Wednesday morning Josh flew to WA to pick up a car we will be borrowing from my dad for a while. He was back by Thursday night and exhausted after the long drive.

Thursday morning I had swim lessons with the boys. Jacob earned a ribbon by accomplishing a task on his own.

Afterwards we went to Pratt's Pet Shop in El Mirage where we held snakes, road turtles, and pet baby Emu's. It was quite the adventure. Unfortunately my card for my camera was left in my computer so I did not get any pictures, but I had a friend there that did, if she ever gets them to me (you know who you are :) I will post them for you!

We pushed our limits by heading to Peter Piper afterwards for lunch. With Josh on the road that day, I was trying to keep the kids busy. It was too much for one day for us and James had a run in with another child. He acted very out of character and have had a few chats sense. In fact tonight he randomly apologized to me for his behavior and my heart melted.

Josh's grandparents have been working on reupholstering our chairs! They were so dirty after having kids for 5 years I got to the point I preferred to stand to eat than to sit on them. They have completed two of them and they are back in my kitchen more beautiful than the day I got them! Did I mention how clean and smooth the wood is now too?! I am so impressed- by the time I get them all back I will feel like I have a whole new set of chairs!
Friday, James had school and Jacob had his last planned play day at Busy Bodies. We had a blast together. It was a great opportunity for us to have one on one time together and have nothing but fun! We used a gift certificate that I won at a fundraiser and sadly its all used up now. The great news is, I have a gift certificate that I won at the same fundraiser to Gymboree- so that will be our next adventure!

Later that day, we finalized the documents for our new home. We will have about a month to transition from our current house to the new one. It is much smaller so we plan to have a big garage sale yo get rid of as much stuff as we can so we can have a clutter free new living space.

Saturday morning, James had Cal Ripken Jr. Day at the Surprise Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers.
He got a free ticket to the game and was taken down the tunnel to march onto and around the field. We found out Surprise has the largest Cal Ripken League in Arizona and one of the largest in the country. He felt so grown up marching on the field with his teammates and coach that when asked what he did today he says that he went down on the field without his mom! haha!
After he marched off the field we stayed a while to watch the Rangers and the Rockies.

James is in the Blue #6.

James' Uniform

James got part of his uniform today! In fact, he got all of it but his jersey. He received real baseball pants, a hat, and socks. He also got a ticket to a spring training game.
The only part he did not get is the only piece of the uniform I thought he was going to get! His jersey or t-shirt.
He is so excited! And Jacob desperately wants to play too!!! He pulled his hood up and acted touch to be just like James. Now we are just going to figure out how to squeeze those big socks into his shows that are already too small. :)

Tee-Ball Time

James had his first ever real Tee-Ball practice today and I forgot my camera! He has eight games and about 10 ten practices so I am sure that I will be able to fill you all in soon. He counted down the hours all day today until his practice started and when it finally came, he couldn't stop smiling- in fact, he had a smile on his face the ENTIRE time! He did great! He fielded balls, he hit off the tee and ran the bases. "Touch every base!" the coach yelled at them- "make sure you touch it." It was all super cute. He had a blast. He was even flirting with the two girls on his team - haha- they are neighbors.

And in case you're wondering, his game schedule is:

March 28 - 10AM
April 4th - 9AM
April 10th-6:30PM
April 18th- 10AM
April 25th- 8AM
May 2nd - 8AM
May 9th - 9AM
May 12th - 5:30PM

There is no keeping score - it's all about having fun and it looks like he is going to have LOTS of it.
