Jacob is my sweetie heart. He is so kind and loving in everything that he does. He truly wants to please - except when it comes to bedtime. Bedtime is his downfall, he just does not want to do it. He will repeatedly come out of his room again and again and again. We have tried it all and nothing will get this boy to go to bed when it is time unless a babysitter or grandma does it- then he is willing to please them by going to bed when he is told. He is always watching out for others, especially his baby sister whom he gives at least 100 kids to a day. He gives her so many kisses, now that she has started giving kisses, Jacob gets them from her more than any of us - even her mommy! Jacob likes to play daddy to her, letting her know when things are not OK and keep her from danger. He told me the other day he was glad he was a boy because he wants to be a daddy when he grows up. When Jacob grows up, he is not only going to be a daddy. Josh and I are certain he will be a stuntman in Hollywood. Some of the things he tries are absolutely crazy and he has no fear. He is not afraid to try anything and will do something again, even if he has hurt himself trying it already. He is a tough guy. Despite all his injuries, he toughs it out. We will hear a loud bang in another room and then from out of the room he yells "I'm OK!" even though no one asked. He is so brave. He will go on roller coasters and even went down splash mountain when he was three. He loves food. We have been unable to keep him from sneaking food from the pantry. Trust me, gets plenty to eat, but that does not keep him from sneaking the goods. Because of him, I very seldom buy candy anymore which is good for all of us. Jacob is very particular and creative about what he wears. Today he started off with baseball pants and a basketball shirt and has already changed. As I write about him, he is wearing a power ranger costume and mask. When we leave the house, he prefers basketball shorts and a collared shirt, pockets and a belt are a plus! He also much prefers sneakers and socks over flip flops. Since Jaelyn was born, house is his favorite game to play. He likes to be the baby and sometimes the dog. He is a video game master and is fairly good at keeping up with his big brother. Jacob loves to work on worksheets for school and wants to learn. Things do not come as easy to him as they do to James. We have been working hard on what meal is breakfast, lunch, and dinner - he often gets them confused. He is more athletic child thus far. Catching a ball, shooting a basket, even swimming has come much more easily to him. It has been very hard for Jacob to sit in the stands and watch James play on all of his sports teams. He is almost old enough to join him...
