A Day at the Zoo

We are having a beautiful day at the wildlife zoo and aquarium today. We are four of very people here. It feels like we have the entire place to ourselves. The weather couldn't be better. It's a beautiful 64 degrees. In addition to walking the park, we also road the SkyRide. It was the kids' first time on a chairlift! They had a blast and what a different perspective to see the animals from above! We are having a blast!

James Cracks Me Up!

There was a song on sesame street this morning. He was watching it. It was about being quiet and loud. I asked James if he was taking notes and he told me he has like ten facts from the song in his head right now. Lol! It was so funny!!! The song talked about being quiet in the library and when someone is sleeping an loud when you are stick in a tree or when you hurt your toe. Lol!!

Bye Bye Paci

I'm convinced the Paci Fairy does, in fact, exist! I have been searching my house high and low, while my (not so) baby girl screamed in her bed, for her Paci. Any Paci. But somehow they have all disappeared. All of them. I could not find one in three hours of looking. Jacob suggested the Paci Fairy must have come and I'm starting to believe he is right. I can't sleep. I think I'm more upset than she is. She is my baby! I'm not ready for this!!

Best Part of Today

Watching X Factor with my boys. They were totally into it. Although they did think they were getting away with staying up late.. ;)

Jaely's First Polish

Josh's wonderful coworker here in California offered to watch the kids for us last night so we could go out. While we were away, Jaely had a blast getting her fingernails painted for the very first time! She said Jae was so excited she sat very still for not just one coat but two coats and then allowed her to dry them with a hair dryer. That's my girl!! She is loving her nails.

Miss My Friend

So, I've been putting off making my annual appointment. I was due to have it the month she died and although I made the initial visit to the office to see Mary Beth, Christine and the rest of the office staff, but I haven't been able to get myself back there for my check up. When I go about my normal life as I used to, Shannon was always there as my friend and dr whenever I needed her or had questions. When i met her i was only 21 and now its 10 years later. Now it makes me sad to think of going in there and not seeing her. As if to confirm she is no longer able to be my Dr once again. I keep empty prescription bottles with her name on it. I see my baby's and my hospital bracelets with her name on them in their baby books and each time it makes me incredibly sad where I used to smile whenever I saw her name. She was so amazing. Well, they finally refused to refill my birth control prescription until I am seen again so I guess I will be taking that step and moving on. Having my annual appointment without My amazing Dr Moorehead who I bragged to all my friends about.
